Description
The Outpatient Complex Coder analyzes complex medical records, codes diagnostic and procedural information, abstracts patient data for research and quality improvement, ensures coding compliance with payer and accreditation requirements, and supports accurate reimbursement. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of coding experience, specialty coding certification or five years of coding experience, and RHIT, CPC, or CCS certification.
