Description

The Outside Electrician is responsible for installing wireways, cables, and electrical components in submarines, including power distribution switchboards, telephones, and weapon systems. They will also install, tag out, and test ship's lighting, hook up cables to electrical components, and groom electrical components for inspections, while also providing documentation for all work performed. Training will be provided to learn power and data/signal cable splicing and vulcanization of ship's cables.
