Description
The Outsource Manufacturing Engineer supports Scot Forge’s outsourcing group by developing part-focused manufacturing plans, APQP, PPAP, inspection, quality-control, and work-instruction plans for suppliers. The role coordinates with internal quality, purchasing, sales, and subject-matter experts; resolves nonconforming material; evaluates supplier capabilities; audits suppliers; and supports initial product deployments and continuous improvement. It is primarily based in Spring Grove, Illinois, with up to 40% travel to supplier locations, and requires a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or technology, 5–7 years of related experience, and 2–3 years in finish or heavy component machining.
