Description
Ashland is hiring a Packaging Engineer for its Global Engineering department. The fully remote technical subject matter expert will provide global leadership for packaging equipment, materials, formats, standards, and regulatory compliance for solid and liquid chemical products serving regulated markets. The role develops sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions, leads European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and Extended Producer Responsibility compliance initiatives, supports packaging equipment installation and retrofit, and partners on capital investment projects from design through commissioning and start-up. It requires a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent, 10 years of industrial or chemical packaging experience, regulatory and European packaging knowledge, supplier and sourcing experience, packaging testing and validation, capital projects experience, Excel and data analysis proficiency, and fluent English, with approximately 30% travel.
