Description

The Level 2 Packaging Engineer supports Lockheed Martin’s packaging and shipping programs by developing packaging solutions for system, subsystem, and component hardware, including hazardous and non-hazardous shipments. The role collaborates with Integrated Product Teams, suppliers, and the Shipping Department; prepares packaging specifications, Special Packaging Instructions, test documentation, and regulatory compliance materials; supports POP testing and technical reviews; analyzes damaged shipments; evaluates packaging materials; and maintains technical documentation. The position requires 1–2 years of packaging or transportation engineering experience, engineering or related technical training, mechanical design fundamentals, CAD exposure, and familiarity with shipping and hazardous-material regulations.
