Description
The Packaging Engineer designs and engineers corrugated and folding carton packaging structures, develops dielines, structural drawings, and prototypes, and validates designs through physical testing and production collaboration. The role partners with sales, estimating, prepress, die-making, production, and vendor teams; optimizes materials and costs; troubleshoots packaging issues; and trains junior staff. It requires a college degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of packaging engineering or structural design experience, CAD proficiency, and knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes. The position is primarily office-based with occasional production-floor access and offers $120,000–$150,000 per year.
