Description
Three-year apprenticeship at WEPA to become a Packaging Materials Technologist. The trainee will learn to manufacture and process packaging materials such as cardboard cartons, films, and labels; design packaging models with 3D software; operate and monitor processing machines; and apply quality control. Training includes exposure to paper processing, mechanics, laboratory work, metalworking, pneumatics, and control engineering, alongside block vocational schooling in Altenburg. The apprenticeship starts on 1 August 2027, requires a Hauptschulabschluss or higher, runs 38 hours per week with 30 vacation days, and offers EUR 1,187 to EUR 1,315 monthly training allowance by year.
