Description
The role assists horsemen and horses at a racetrack by distributing, collecting, cleaning, and maintaining racing saddle pads and head numbers; opening and closing paddock gates; handling broken-equipment emergencies; and driving horsemen to and from the winner’s circle. The position requires availability for all racing hours and qualifiers, knowledge of racing procedures and equipment, familiarity with horses, and the ability to work in outside weather and lift or move up to 25 pounds. It is a seasonal fixed-term position with some college or technical school education preferred.
