Description
The Paint Prep Technician prepares manufactured machinery for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, chipping welds, removing rust and other imperfections, applying polyester putty or Bondo, and inspecting parts. The role also involves operating a forklift or learning to do so, using a three-wheel hydraulic cart, pressure washing, setting up and loading paint booths, and moving parts for production. It is an entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or GED, with previous body-shop experience preferred, and pays $19.25.
