Description
Powell is hiring a Painter/Sandblaster for its Southeast Houston manufacturing facility. The role involves sandblasting and wet-painting raw steel platforms and products, moving materials with overhead cranes or forklifts, maintaining equipment, documenting inspections and paint usage, and performing general labor and cleaning as needed. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., with overtime as needed, and the position may require up to 12-hour shifts, a sixth day, and occasional seventh-day work. Applicants need at least grammar school education, basic math and English skills, and at least two years of wet-painting, sandblasting, and surface-preparation experience.
