Description
The Painter Sub-Foreperson prepares and paints fleet vehicles, components, and facilities; assigns, oversees, directs, and plans work crews; schedules and expedites materials and equipment; enforces safety standards; maintains records; and supports budgetary and customer-service goals. The role works primarily on a second-shift schedule, may require work at any shift or location, and includes emergency and on-call availability. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, three years of air-spray painting experience with transit vehicles, organizational and analytical skills, computer-application proficiency, customer-service ability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to supervise a diverse workforce.
