Description
WEPA is recruiting an apprentice paper technologist for a three-year apprenticeship starting 1 August 2027. The trainee will operate, control, and monitor paper machines and production facilities, learn pulp preparation, laboratory work, paper manufacturing, quality checks, and maintenance, while attending block instruction at the paper makers’ school in Gernsbach for 16 weeks per year. Applicants need a Hauptschulabschluss or higher, technical and scientific interest, reliability, teamwork, initiative, and willingness to work shifts. The apprenticeship provides 30 vacation days, a 38-hour week, collectively bargained monthly pay of EUR 1,204.42 to EUR 1,325.69 across the three years, and potential long-term employment with WEPA.
