Description
The Paraeducator III works under general supervision with individual and small groups of students who have mild to moderate or moderate to severe learning, emotional, physical, and behavioral disabilities. The role implements behavior intervention strategies and plans, including Applied Behavior Analysis, Discrete Trial Training, Pivotal Response Training, Social Stories, PECS, and TEACCH; supports students in classroom, community, and vocational settings; maintains records and progress reports; and ensures student safety. The position offers permanent 3, 5.5, or 6-hour assignments and substitute or on-call 3-hour assignments during the school year, with a six-month eligibility list and a competitive examination process.
