Description
The Paramedic/EMT provides Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support emergency medical treatment and transport to sick and injured patients. Responsibilities include scene assessment, treatment and intervention, transport destination selection, patient monitoring, hospital handoff, equipment and vehicle maintenance, documentation, and participation in training and quality assurance. The role requires physical exertion, extended standing and vehicle work, and exposure to hazardous conditions. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid Florida driver's license, pass drug and FDLE background checks, have current EVOC, and hold the appropriate Florida Paramedic or EMT certification plus ACLS or BLS certification.
