Description
The EMT-Paramedic provides emergency medical services to critically ill and injured patients, responds to E911 calls, performs advanced life support and specialized cardiac treatment, transports patients, maintains medical records and equipment, and operates emergency vehicles. The role works 12-hour rotating shifts, requires current North Carolina EMT certification and enrollment or acceptance into a Paramedic program, and requires obtaining EMT-Paramedic certification within 24 months of employment. A high school diploma or GED and a valid North Carolina driver's license are also required.
