Description
Hawthorne Foundation Inc. is hiring a Paraprofessional/Certified Teacher Assistant to support children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities in educational, vocational, life-skills, recreation, and medical-support programs. The role implements daily and weekly programs, assists with attendance, data graphing, hygiene, activities of daily living, meals, and medical appointments, and maintains the safety and welfare of individuals. An associate degree or 48 college credits is preferred, a high school diploma or GED is required, and NYSED Teacher Assistant Certification or willingness to become certified within six months is required.
