Description
The Paratransit Operator safely operates TARTA vehicles, conducts pre-trip inspections, follows routes and schedules, assists passengers with mobility devices, maintains vehicle cleanliness, records rider attendance, and reports incidents and violations. The role requires a valid vehicle operator’s license, completion of driver training and refresher courses, a high school diploma or G.E.D., and three consecutive years of licensed driving experience. Applicants must pass a drug test and the role involves extended driving, walking, lifting, and exposure to weather and potentially hazardous road conditions.
