Description
The Parent Advocate supports parents of children in foster care by helping them understand and navigate the foster care system, build hope, address family challenges, and participate in case planning. The role focuses on connection building, collaboration, empowerment, and providing options so parents can make decisions for reunification. A high school diploma or equivalency is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred, and applicants must have prior life experience affected by the child welfare system and at least one year of professional experience as a parent advocate in child welfare or juvenile justice systems; bilingual English and Spanish ability is preferred.
