Description
The City of Arcata is hiring a Parks, Facilities and Natural Resources Supervisor to lead and coordinate the maintenance, operations, construction, repair, inspection, safety, contracting, budgeting, purchasing, and public-service activities for parks, playgrounds, facilities, sports fields, forests, open space, trails, and related natural resources. The role supervises and evaluates staff, plans maintenance programs, oversees equipment and hazardous-materials use, and works in both office and field environments. Qualifications include high-school-level education, college coursework in a related field, at least four years of progressive experience in parks or recreational-area facilities, and at least two years of supervisory experience, along with a California Class C driver’s license and availability for emergency calls.
