Description
The Parks and Recreation Planning and Design Manager develops and implements plans for land, facilities, and physical assets; prepares conceptual and master plans; manages design and construction phases; coordinates design firms and city departments; reviews plans, specifications, contracts, and construction compliance; assesses project feasibility; prepares cost estimates and grant applications; and occasionally supervises GIS, planning technician, and Parks and Recreation personnel. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or civil engineering, at least five years of urban development or parks planning experience, relevant Arkansas licensure or proof of eligibility, and proficiency with GIS, AutoCAD, and related technologies.
