Description
The part-time contracted instructor instructs classes in assigned divisions, prepares instructional materials, evaluates student activities, attends instructor meetings, and participates in professional development. The role requires knowledge of classroom instruction, police operations, public safety and law enforcement trends, safety procedures, equipment, and applicable laws; the ability to communicate, work independently, and maintain classroom environments; and local travel between the Caldwell campus or off-campus sites. Applicants must have at least five years of experience as a certified North Carolina law enforcement officer, including four years of criminal justice experience, a high school diploma or equivalency, and a current North Carolina Department of Justice instructor certification.
