Description
The Captioner will ensure effective communication access for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, employees, and visitors by captioning videos used in classes and labs, transcribing audio materials and videos, serving as a notetaker, and reviewing caption accuracy. The role requires English spelling, grammar, and punctuation proficiency, strong keyboarding and typing skills, basic Microsoft Office and Google Workspace use, and specialized captioning software. It is a security-sensitive, part-time position limited to 19.5 hours per week, with a high school diploma or GED as the minimum qualification.
