The Pan lab at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion is hiring a part-time Research Assistant in Roanoke, Virginia. The role supports zebrafish-based research on gene, neural circuit, and behavior interactions, including basic laboratory management, animal husbandry, supply ordering, buffer and solution preparation, equipment maintenance, protocol organization, and specific research tasks. The position is restricted, pays commensurately with experience, allows up to 32 hours per week, and requires organizational, communication, computer, laboratory, and animal-handling skills.
