Description
The part-time Security Officer supports the safety and security of a school, maintaining assigned posts, responding to incidents and student misconduct, conducting patrols and hall sweeps, monitoring entrances and grounds, documenting incidents, assisting with lockers and student entry and dismissal, participating in emergency response, and supporting a safe school climate. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an active sworn Chicago Police Officer status with 2–3 years of CPD experience, physical stamina, knowledge of CPS safety systems and student conduct, and successful completion of CPS security training and a physical fitness assessment.
