Albany Medical Center is hiring a Pathologists’ Assistant for its Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in Albany, New York. The role performs gross examination, dissection, description, sampling, photography, and documentation of surgical pathology specimens, including complex oncologic specimens; prepares tissue for intraoperative consultation and frozen sections; supports quality improvement and laboratory initiatives; and teaches and mentors pathology residents and other learners. The position requires a master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program, PA(ASCP) certification, and current or obtainable New York State licensure. It is a weekday day-shift position at the Albany campus with a salary of $115,000-$125,000 per year and health, dental, and vision benefits.
