Description
The part-time Pathologists’ Assistant provides specialized technical services in anatomic pathology under the supervision of a licensed, board-certified Anatomic Pathologist. Responsibilities include accessioning and gross examination of tissue and body-fluid specimens, supporting frozen sections, FNA, biopsies and kidney-biopsy triage, handling and processing specimens, performing supervised autopsies, documenting findings, submitting microscopic sections, maintaining regulatory and safety compliance, participating in quality control and workflow improvement, and supporting staff training. The role works five days per week on the second shift, with occasional on-call duty, shift coverage, and travel.
