Description
The Pathology Assistant provides advanced technical support in surgical and autopsy pathology, including specimen preparation, grossing, dissection, frozen-section and special-procedure work, autopsy examinations, and ancillary testing. The role also mentors residents, fellows, and pathologists’ assistant students, supports quality assurance and safety compliance, and collaborates with pathologists and medical professionals. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, a current Pathology Assistant license, and 0–1 years of technical experience are required.
