Description
The Marine Mammal Center is hiring a Pathology Veterinary Student Extern for a seasonal rotation in marine mammal medicine and pathology. The extern will perform gross necropsies, collect postmortem data, and write necropsy reports on phocids, otariids, cetaceans, and sea otters, with no clinical or live-animal component. The program is based in Marin Headlands, Sausalito, California, requires a DVM student in the final or clinical year, and runs from March 1 through September 30, 2028. The application period is open through December 7, 2026, with selection in January–February 2027.
