St. Tammany Health System is hiring a Patient Access Representative to provide front-desk patient access services in a healthcare setting. The role handles patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient registration, copayment and balance collection, phone calls, medical-record document scanning or filing, HIPAA confidentiality, and customer service. It is a 40-hour-per-week Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. position in Covington, Louisiana, requiring computer and office-equipment skills, communication, patience, teamwork, professionalism, and preferably medical office experience and medical terminology.
