Description
The Patient Access Representative supports dental and medical front-desk operations by assisting patients with registration, medical forms, account and insurance information, payment and co-pay collection, prescription-refill faxing, and clinical triaging. The role also floats front-desk duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients into the computer system, while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and communicating workflow issues. Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of office or clerical experience, high-volume data-entry ability, medical records and electronic billing experience, and health insurance experience; prior cash posting and accounts receivable experience is preferred. The position pays $17–$19 per hour and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
