The Patient Access Representative registers hospital admissions and outpatient services, collects patient information, verifies insurance, participates in collecting deductibles and co-pays, and coordinates with hospital, clinic, and revenue-cycle personnel. The role also handles general reception duties, including answering multi-line phones and directing patients and visitors. It requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current Microsoft computer experience, and previous cash-handling experience; healthcare registration, insurance verification, and medical terminology experience are preferred. The position pays $19.62–$29.74 per hour, is full-time at 40 hours per week, and is primarily scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
