Description
The Patient Access Representative supports hospital departmental efficiency by handling patient registration, scheduling, pre-admission and admission, reception, discharge, patient demographics, insurance verification, financial clearance, payment collection, and protected health information filing. The role requires customer service, computer and typing skills, knowledge of hospital and third-party payor processes, and the ability to work in fast-paced patient-care environments, including the Emergency Department. A high school diploma or GED is required, while 0–1 year of customer service experience and related administrative experience are preferred.
