The Patient Access Representative supports hospital departmental efficiency by handling patient registration, scheduling, pre-admission and admission, reception, discharge, insurance verification, financial clearance, payment collection, and patient information management. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, customer service and administrative experience, typing skills of at least 35 wpm, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. Compensation is $19.02–$28.53 per hour, with shift differentials and medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance benefits.
