Description
The Patient Access Specialist supports hospital patient access by providing financial counseling, collecting co-pays and deductibles, explaining financial assistance, registering and scheduling patients, entering demographic and financial information into the ADT system, verifying insurance benefits, generating ABNs, reviewing orders, completing MSP, obtaining consents, placing procedures, and obtaining pre-certifications. The role requires a high school completion or GED, proficiency with Windows-based computer technology, and 1–3 years of job-related experience; customer service, healthcare, clerical, medical office, or insurance experience is preferred. The position is full-time, primarily day-shift with varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
