Description
The Patient Access Representative responds to a high volume of appointment requests through telephone, email, work queues, and other electronic messages, scheduling medical exams, procedures, and tests while collecting demographics and registering patients with insurance. The role requires customer service, phone etiquette, computer skills, strong communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and knowledge of medical scheduling, registration, insurance verification, or prior authorization processes. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and at least two years of experience in customer service, patient access, healthcare administration, or a related service-oriented role is required.
