Description
The Patient Associate supports Apicha Community Health Center’s Jackson Heights clinic by registering patients, collecting co-pays and payments, entering registration information into the EMR, handling incoming calls, assisting with patient flow, scheduling and following up on appointments, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining pre-authorizations, maintaining records and confidentiality, and participating in quality improvement and patient recruitment activities. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of working experience, strong customer service and communication skills, office software proficiency, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
