Description
The Patient Observer works under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing continuous one-to-one observation and maintaining patient safety, environmental and emotional safety, therapeutic milieu, and dignity. The role includes initiating patient activities, monitoring behavioral responses, supporting testing and consultations, teaching coping and relaxation skills, completing required documentation, and rotating to meet patient-care needs. Applicants need a high school diploma, English proficiency, and preferably at least two years of prior experience in psychiatry or a related field working with emotionally disturbed adults, adolescents, children, and families.
