Description
The Patient Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients by phone and in person, managing inbound calls, greeting and screening callers, registering appointments, scheduling, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and handling forms and identification. The role also supports population health outreach and proactively addresses workflow, patient satisfaction, and safety issues. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with healthcare experience involving electronic medical records, insurance, and patient data; related coursework, medical terminology, bilingual ability, computer and Microsoft Suite knowledge, cultural sensitivity, communication, attention to detail, and reliable transportation are also required or preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays.
