Description
The Patient Transporter provides safe and caring assistance to patients moving between hospital locations, to and from the hospital, and during discharge. The role also maintains the cleanliness and working order of wheelchairs and stretchers, delivers specimens to laboratories, communicates with patients and valet staff, reports incidents, and follows institutional policies. It is an entry-level position requiring a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, required vaccinations, and the ability to walk, push a wheelchair, and lift or move 300 pounds or more.
