Description

Blue Origin is hiring a Payload Responsible Engineer for the MK1 Lunar Lander Vehicle Engineering team within its Lunar Permanence business unit. The role serves as the primary technical interface between payload customers and vehicle engineering, owning end-to-end payload integration from interface definition through lunar-surface delivery. Responsibilities include payload-vehicle requirements and ICD ownership, verification and test planning, hardware-software integration campaigns, anomaly resolution, interface management across mechanical, electrical, thermal, data, and RF domains, customer negotiations, and technical reviews. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in aerospace or systems engineering, at least five years of systems engineering experience on flight hardware programs, spacecraft payload integration experience, and U.S. employment eligibility under export-control regulations.
