Akkodis is hiring a Payload System Engineer for its Aerospace & Defence division to work on satellite platforms, with a focus on passive optical payloads. The role covers system analysis, payload architecture, procurement, development planning, FDIR concepts, and integration and verification activities through launch. Candidates need a master’s degree in a relevant engineering or physics field, 1–3 years of payload system engineering experience, and knowledge of optics, detectors, focal-plane assemblies, opto-mechanics, MATLAB, and data analysis. The position is permanent and full-time, with a base salary of €32,000–€45,000 plus benefits, and is based in Pisa, Mola di Bari, or Rome, Italy.
