The Accounting Specialist performs hourly payroll processing in the e-Labor and Mill Labor systems, including report editing, payroll transmission, vacation and floaters processing, union-contract compliance, checks, direct deposit advisements, and monthly payroll closing. The role also handles general accounting functions such as journal entries, accruals, reports, audits, budget support, and record retention. It reports to an Accounting Supervisor, requires a high school diploma and college or technical training or equivalent accounting experience, and offers a starting salary of $40,000-$47,000 with medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
