Description

The PCA III at AltaMed oversees and coordinates all PCAs' work, ensuring compliance with provider orders. This role supports PACE participants by engaging them in satisfaction surveys, discussing IDT topics, and managing their physical and mental well-being. The PCA III identifies and trains PCAs on competency, assists the PCA Supervisor in assigning tasks, handling disciplinary actions, and conducting performance evaluations.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma required, or some college education/credits preferred.
Required Previous Experiences: Certified Nursing Aide education and training. Nurse Assistant Certificate by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services - Aid and Technician Certification.
Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications: California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment preferred, must be attained w/in 30 days of employment.
Prior experience working with physically or mentally impaired older people is strongly preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, depending on location, preferred.
Experience working with the elderly patient population.
