Arista Networks is hiring a mid-level PCIe Software Engineer for its Platform team, which develops software for networking ASICs and supporting infrastructure. The role focuses on bringing up PCIe links, tuning root ports, bridges, and endpoints, modifying Linux PCI drivers and virtual memory, improving error visibility through AER and DPC, developing userspace software for networking ASICs, FPGAs, and PCIe bridges, measuring hardware performance, and developing automated tests in C, C++, and Python. Candidates need strong computer science fundamentals, at least three years of C or C++ fluency, PCIe driver and hardware knowledge, experience with PCIe switches, and hands-on low-level firmware troubleshooting experience.
