Description

Qualcomm is hiring a CPU Software & Hardware Co-Design Engineer (ML Systems) in Bangalore to design and optimize software and hardware for next-generation QMX CPU architectures. The role covers ML workload characterization, QEMU or equivalent simulation, bottleneck analysis, kernel and library development, performance benchmarking, and software–hardware co-design. Candidates need a relevant engineering or computer science degree, 6–8+ years of software engineering experience depending on education, and mandatory C/C++ proficiency, with experience in computer architecture, systems programming, machine learning, and performance optimization.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 8+, 7+, or 6+ years of software engineering or related experience respectively.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 4 years of experience with C, C++, Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking, and optimization.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with QEMU or equivalent simulators.
Experience with ML kernel development, including GEMM, convolution, and attention.
Knowledge of CPU architecture, including pipelines, caching, and SIMD/vector extensions.
Familiarity with ML frameworks and inference stacks.
Experience with intrinsics, assembly, memory, and cache tuning.
