Description
The position provides direct patient care through complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, physical examinations, laboratory and diagnostic testing, medication administration, treatment planning, patient education, recordkeeping, referrals, and coordination with other health professionals. It also includes supervision of midlevel practitioner staff, participation in policy development and clinical research, and administrative duties. The role requires a Doctor of Medicine with primary-care residency training, a current North Carolina medical license, board certification or eligibility, DEA registration, CPR certification, and ACLS or PALS certification as applicable.
