Description
The Seaway Valley Prevention Council is hiring a full-time Peer Educator to deliver evidence-based recovery and prevention programming in community-based settings, treatment facilities, recovery programs, and criminal justice settings. The role includes one-on-one support for individuals in recovery, harm reduction, the Recovery Coach Academy, community events, and presentations in community organizations and school districts. Applicants must be self-directed, comfortable with public speaking and community engagement, and able to travel throughout St. Lawrence County and to Lewis and Jefferson Counties, with some evening and weekend hours. An associate's degree in Education, Public Health, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
