Wayside is hiring a Peer Mentor - Young Adult Services in Arlington, Massachusetts, to facilitate activity-based and support groups for young adults with mental health concerns, share a recovery story, provide advocacy and one-on-one support, promote life-skills development, and contribute to policy advocacy. The role requires lived experience managing mental health, emotional health, and/or trauma, strong communication and risk-management skills, and reliable driving. Training is provided in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, and related interventions. The salary is $20.50-$24.00 per hour depending on experience and certification, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
