Unity Health Care is hiring a full-time Peer Navigator in Washington, DC to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders within the Central Detention Facility and Correctional Treatment Facility. The role provides non-clinical peer support, encouragement, education, recovery navigation, treatment engagement, relapse prevention, and advocacy during incarceration and after release. The Peer Navigator coordinates with the SUD treatment team, connects individuals with community resources, and works with multidisciplinary teams, while maintaining confidentiality and using an electronic medical record.
