Description
Anew is hiring a Peer Support Specialist for Substance Use Disorder to provide one-on-one and group peer support to individuals in recovery, help clients set recovery goals and develop individualized recovery plans, connect them with housing, employment, healthcare, and other community resources, and collaborate with clinical teams. The role requires lived experience in substance use disorder recovery, behavioral health or treatment experience, group-facilitation experience, and strong communication and active-listening skills; certification is preferred or must be obtained within a specified period after hire. The position has a flexible schedule, requires a high school diploma, and does not offer benefits.
